Temporary water interruption for some Broome residents to allow for essential upgrades
Some residents in the Cable Beach area are being advised of an overnight water outage as Water Corporation upgrades essential infrastructure on De Marchi Road.
From 10pm Wednesday 10 June to 4am the following morning, residents within an area loosely bounded by Reid Road, Glenister Loop, McKenzie Road, Solway Loop, Gubinge Road, Banu Avenue, Dobson Drive, Salleh Street and Sibosado Street will experience a temporary water supply interruption.
Water Corporation North West Regional Manager Sharon Broad said work was needed to replace aging valves and improve the overall efficiency and reliability of infrastructure in the area.
“We’d like to thank residents in advance for their understanding and cooperation during this planned maintenance,” Mrs Broad said.
“This work is essential to improve the water supply infrastructure, and if a future fault occurs, it means we will be able to reduce the number of properties it affects.”
Mrs Broad said work was planned to take place overnight to reduce the inconvenience to residents.
Residents will need to manage their own water needs during the supply interruption, however, those with special water requirements are encouraged to contact Water Corporation on 13 13 17.
If you would like to find out if your residence will be impacted please call 13 13 75.
